The river Ganges first enters the plains at Haridwar, hence Haridwar is also known as 'Gangadwar' Which means the place where Gangaji enters the plains. Haridwar means "gate of Hari (God)". It is believed that drops of nectar fell at four places. Those places are:- Ujjain, Haridwar, Nasik and Prayag. Maha Kumbh is organized at these four places alternately every 12th year.
After three years from the Maha Kumbh of one place, Maha Kumbh is organized at another place. Thus in the twelfth year one cycle is completed and then the time of Maha Kumbh comes in the first place. Crores of pilgrims, devotees and tourists from all over the world gather here to celebrate this ceremony and take a holy dip on the banks of river Ganges. According to one belief, the place where the drops of nectar fell is considered to be Brahma Kund at Har Ki Pauri. 'Har Ki Pauri' is considered to be the holiest ghat of Haridwar and devotees and pilgrims from all over India come here to bathe on the occasion of festivals or holy days. Taking a bath here is considered one to attain salvation.

After Beakfast early morning meet our driver at your Home | Airport | Railway Station and transfer to Haridwar. Check in to the hotel at Arrival in Haridwar. Night stay at Haridwar.
Early Morning After Breakfast visit Daksh Temple, Mansa Devi Temple (By cable car), Daksh Mahadev Temple, Saptrishi Ashram, Shantikunj Gayatri Parivar, Pawan Dham as well as Moti Bazar. in the evening Go To Har Ki Pauri for Ganga Aarti. Return to hotel. Dinner and Night stay at Haridwar.
Early Morning you can take divine dip in the river Ganga. After that return back to hotel. After breakfast Transfer to Rishikesh. Go to Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Lakshman Temple, Lakshman Jhula as well as Ram Jhula. Evening visit Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Return to Haridwar. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar.
